A Case Study of Early Childhood Development in Mauritius

In 1999 the WGECD initiated a policy studies project to assess ECD policies in sub-Saharan Africa. An initial survey was conducted and subsequent case studies carried out in Ghana, Mauritius and Namibia. This resulted in 3 country case study reports that are mentioned below. The three country teams also carried out a meta analysis of their findings and produced the "Synthesis Report" which provides guidelines for African countries interested in developing their own ECD Policies.
