Review of the use of ODL systems in the provision of post-primary education in Africa

This paper is a critical review of selected ODL interventions at post-primary school level in Africa. The purpose of the review is to show the state of ODLon the continent and shed some light on its potential to address problems of educational access, equity, and quality at post-primary school level in African countries. The experiences drawn from the various cases reviewed will inform on the opportunities that exist to extend basic education to include lower secondary education through ODL strategies
