The challenges and stakes facing EFA in Africa: Top priority for integrated sector-wide policies

The Dakar forum certainly changed the stakes for African educational systems.This can be seen from the institutional changes which have occurred and fromthe way the practices of States and those of the international community as a whole have evolved, as well as from the spectacular increase in the primary schooling indicators observed in Africa during the 2000-2005 period. These changes show that large strides have been made.
